Spring Porch Tour of An 1861 Alabama Farmhouse
10:40 AMSpring has arrived in Georgia and Alabama. That means one thing for us southerners...it's time to decorate all the porches. Today, I have a special guest. Her name is Jeannie Lauderdale. She runs a Facebook page called Frenchgypsy and you might know her from 1861 Alabama Farmhouse on Instagram.
I'm proud to call her a friend. She and I met in 2016. She was working her antique booth when I first met her. We hit it off immediately and have stayed in touch since. She is now retired from the booth industry. She has been a collector for the last 50 years. She was a dealer for 40 years and had a booth at Angel's Antiques in Opelika, AL for 18 of those years. She also had a booth at Antiques on Holiday in Destin, FL. Once you have been bitten by the antique bug it's in your bones for good. You can still find, Jeannie, selling on Facebook marketplace and on eBay.
I reached out to her and asked her if she would give you a tour of her back porch and she accepted. She has antique collections to die for. So I thought you could get some inspiration to create some of the vignettes in your own booth this Spring.
