Creating A Spring Vignette

Hi friends. We are so ready for spring. The east coast is getting an arctic blast this weekend. Brrr. Woke up to temps in the teens. It's mornings like this I seriously question my dislike for coffee. This chilly weather has me wishing for warmer weather.

After Christmas how do you reset your booth? Do you go to Valentine's Day or Spring decor? We get messages from newbies asking how to create a vignette so we thought we would share a quick spring vignette today. This is an easy one. If you have an old wooden drawer, a galvanized bucket, some books, greenery and a few knick-knacks you are ready to create. Of course, you do not have to use the exact same materials. You could achieve a similar look with an old wooden crate or suitcase.

These were some old books picked up at yard sales. I have found yard sales to be the cheapest places to find old bucks.

BOOTH TIP: When you are out junkin be on the lookout all year long for colors to compliment the season.

I found these greenery bundles on Amazon. Nothing freshens a booth up faster than adding greenery.

These were some items I already had in my inventory. Every year, I always use these 3" terracotta pots. Sometimes I will paint or whitewash them to give them a bit more interest. I usually stuff moss in each pot, stack them and tie them with jute string. I also had a vintage bottle, a faux bird nest and this adorable set of ceramic, baby ducks.

Here is the finished look using the old wooden drawer. I added the vintage doily and gold, a picture frame to give my vignette more color and texture.

I thought it would be fun to switch it up a bit and use a planter instead of a wooden box. For this vignette, I took away the large galvanized bucket and replaced it with a smaller one, adding the birdcage, a bunny rabbit and a framed vintage photo. You could use any kind of container really.
